How to opt out

You can stop new collection, delete the panel record we hold, and opt out of sale, share, or targeted advertising of Layer A personal information.
Uninstalling stops new capture from that install. It does not by itself delete historical panel records. Send a deletion request if you want those removed too.
This page is for Layer A: the identifiable panel and account records Crosswalk holds. Client products are aggregated. They do not contain you as a row. We will not re-identify a Layer B file to pull you out of it. Later product builds inherit a valid deletion.
1. Uninstall the software (stops new capture)
Browser extension
Open your browser's extensions or add-ons page.
Find Watch My Data or Crosswalk.
Click Remove (or Uninstall).
Confirm.
If you use more than one browser, repeat in each.
Mobile or desktop app
Delete the Crosswalk app the same way you delete any app.
If you installed on more than one device, repeat on each.
You can also turn the software off in settings. That pauses capture. Uninstall is the complete stop for that install.
2. Delete or restrict the panel record
Email privacy@crosswalknyc.com with the subject "Opt-out" or "Delete," call +1 (818) 231-2610, use Your Privacy Choices, or write to:

Tell us what you want: deletion, restriction, do-not-sell, or withdraw consent. Include the email you used to join the panel so we can find the record.
We respond within 45 days. We may take one 45-day extension when the law allows. We will tell you if we do. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.
An authorized agent may submit a request. We will need proof of authorization and enough information to verify you.
3. Do not sell or share
We do not sell Layer A personal information as individual records to clients. You may still opt out of any residual sale, share, or targeted advertising on Crosswalk consumer properties.
Use Your Privacy Choices, or send Global Privacy Control (GPC) from your browser. We treat GPC as that opt-out on consumer-facing properties. You do not need the form for a GPC opt-out.
4. Parents and guardians
If you consented for a person under 18, you may withdraw that consent and request deletion of the minor's Layer A record the same way: privacy@crosswalknyc.com, +1 (818) 231-2610, or the mail address above. See Parental consent and COPPA.
5. Dashboard accounts
Dashboard accounts are 18 or older. To close a dashboard login, email support@crosswalknyc.com. That is separate from a panel opt-out. If you are both a panelist and a dashboard user, say so in the request.
