Children's privacy (COPPA)

Last updated: 28 August 2026

Crosswalk Technologies, Inc. ("Crosswalk") collects personal information from people under 18 only with parental or guardian consent, and only where that collection is legal.

The default panel is for adults. A parent or legal guardian may enroll a minor where the law allows. See Parental consent.

Children under 13

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) applies to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 unless we have first obtained verifiable parental consent.

We do not sell a child's data as raw clickstream. We do not sell it as an individual record. We do not use a child's personal information to market or advertise products or services directly to that child. The only client deliverable is our aggregated dashboard products. Those products do not contain the child as a row.

Teens 13 to 17

Collection from teens requires parental or guardian consent and is limited to what applicable state law allows. We do not sell teen data as raw clickstream. We do not sell it as an individual record. We do not use it for targeted advertising to that teen as a named person where state law forbids it. The only client deliverable is our aggregated dashboard products.

Parent rights

A parent or guardian may:

  • Review the personal information we have collected about their child
  • Request that we delete it
  • Withdraw consent and stop further collection

We will need enough information to locate the record and to confirm you are the parent or guardian.

If we collected without consent

If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, or from a teen under 18 without required consent or in a way the law does not allow, we will delete it.

Aggregated dashboard products

We do not sell a child's data as raw clickstream. The only client deliverable is our aggregated dashboard products. Those products are group statistics. They do not contain a child's personal information. Crosswalk will not re-identify those files.

Adult panelists and dashboard accounts are described in the Privacy Policy.
